Handmade textures
SABOT is a rock band from Argentina, formed in 2013. Their members are Pablo Eguibar, Leu Frais, Paul Calvo and Alan Vivona.
The graphic proyect of DISTOPÍA LATENTE began with the conception of a logo for the band. The mission was to translate the concept of sabotage into their identity in order to put across the audience their political ideology.
Then, I started working on the hole aesthetics for their EP. First there was a hand-made instance, in which I translated into painted textures the sensations evoked by their lyrics and tunes. Next I digitized them and started applying them into the different graphic pieces.
In order to stay within the budget, the call was to print everything in illustration paper. The final result was an envelope, container of a stamped cd and a booklet folded with an origami technique.
